To truly master skiing, you need to perform in all conditions, and that’s exactly what this NZ camp is designed for. You’ll be coached through variable terrain and changing weather, just like the kind top-level skiers face around the world. The best skiers don’t just shine in perfect conditions, they adapt to whatever the mountain throws at them.
Each session focuses on technical precision and tactical versatility, helping you refine your skills across a range of turn shapes and snow surfaces. You’ll learn to anticipate changes in snow texture, adjust your line, timing, and technique, and get the most out of every run. Adaptation is a skill you can train, transforming you into a skier who doesn’t just cope with change, but thrives in it.
Shun is a skilled ski instructor and accomplished skier. Born in Kyoto, he developed a passion for skiing early, competing in alpine skiing at national team events. In 2022, he transitioned to technical skiing competitions, earning second place in the 2023, 2024, 2025 and winning the 2026 - All Japan Ski Technical Championship. In 2024, Shun joined New Zealand’s Rookie Academy as a ski trainer, expanding his international experience. Since 2025, he has also been serving as a National Demonstrator for Japan, contributing to the development of skiing techniques and instruction nationwide. His coaching focuses on technique, safety, and personalised training for all skill levels. With a strong competitive background and global teaching experience, Shun continues to inspire and mentor skiers, furthering the sport in Japan and beyond.
