ROOKIE ACADEMY JAPAN

TERMS & CONDITIONS (JAPAN)

Last updated: 14 January 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all camps, courses, training programmes, and related services operated in Japan by Rookie Academy Japan (“Rookie Academy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By selecting “I have read and agree” and completing a booking, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. CONTRACTING PARTY

All bookings for programmes operated in Japan are made with Rookie Academy Japan. Programmes are delivered at ski resorts and training locations in Japan.

2. BOOKINGS

2.1 A booking is confirmed once we have received the required payment and issued written confirmation.

2.2 The person making the booking confirms they have authority to agree to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all participants included in the booking.

2.3 The person making the booking accepts financial responsibility for all participants in the booking group.

3. PAYMENT

3.1 A deposit of 6.5% of the total programme price is payable at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

3.2 The deposit represents an administrative and booking commitment fee and is generally non-refundable, except where required under applicable Japanese law or where Rookie Academy is unable to provide the programme.

3.3 The balance of the programme fee must be paid by the date specified at the time of booking.

3.4 All prices are stated in Japanese Yen unless otherwise specified.

3.5 Any bank fees, international transfer fees, or currency conversion costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.

4. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

4.1 Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

4.2 Cancellation fees, including the treatment of deposits, will be disclosed at the time of booking and form part of these Terms & Conditions.

4.3 No refunds are provided for missed training days, early departure, illness, injury, fatigue, weather conditions, snow conditions, or lift or resort closures.

4.4 We strongly recommend comprehensive travel and medical insurance.

5. PROGRAMME CHANGES

5.1 Programme schedules, locations, instructors, and content may change due to weather, snow conditions, safety considerations, lift operations, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

5.2 Modifications made for safety reasons do not entitle participants to refunds.

6. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT

Participants must:

  • Follow all safety instructions provided by instructors;

  • Comply with ski resort rules and applicable Japanese laws;

  • Behave in a manner that does not endanger themselves or others.

Rookie Academy may remove a participant from a programme for unsafe or disruptive behaviour without refund.

7. MINORS

Where a participant is under 18 years of age:

  • A parent or legal guardian must provide consent during booking;

  • The guardian confirms the minor meets programme requirements;

  • The guardian remains responsible for the minor outside scheduled training sessions.

8. INSURANCE

8.1 We strongly recommend that all participants obtain appropriate travel and medical insurance suitable for their participation in Rookie Academy programmes.

8.2 Participants are responsible for their own insurance arrangements. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes Rookie Academy’s liability where such limitation or exclusion is not permitted under applicable Japanese law.

9. PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA

Photographs or video may be taken during programmes for promotional purposes. By agreeing to these Terms, you grant Rookie Academy a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use such media unless you notify us in writing prior to participation.

10. ELECTRONIC ACCEPTANCE

By selecting “I have read and agree”, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions; and

  • This electronic acceptance constitutes a legally binding agreement.

11. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Japan.

Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.

12. SEVERABILITY

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
